The World Expo to be held in Shanghai in 2010 is a major project for the City Government and over US$100 million is being invested to build the infrastructure which will accommodate this event.

The World Exposition is a large-scale, global, non-commercial event to promote the exchange of ideas, technology and development. The 2010 Shanghai World Exhibition is planned to last 183 days from May 1st - October 31st 2010.
