This year will see the second Ireland Week in Shanghai. The opening ceremony, with Irish musicians and dancers will take place at Xintiandi on March 11th at 18.45 at which the visiting Irish Minister and local Chinese dignitaries will officiate before music, dancing and entertainment kicks off. We would strongly encourage all members of the Irish community to attend and get the week off to a great start.
A variety of events will take place throughout the week – tree planting, Trade and Investment Forum, and concerts (musicians from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann will travel to Shanghai for the Week). The week will culminate in the St Patrick’s Day parade which promises to be bigger and brighter than last year.
